Road Committee
Jerry Larson is the Supervisor representative on the Road Committee.
At the July 9th, 2024 board meeting it was decided to wait until 2025 to regravel 275th Street from Danville to Hwy 3. We have been informed that County 86 will be open before the end of the year. We will do our best to maintain 275th Street untill County 86 reopens.
Gravel application has been completed on:
- 250th St E – County 70 to Town Line
- 270th St W – Akron to Biscayne
- Biscayne – County 86 to 270th St
- Cambodia – 264th St to 275th St
- Denmark – County 80 to County 78
- 250th St W – Akron to Alverno
Spot graveling is being done on an as need basis. We will be meeting with Farmington on June 20th to determine road maintenance responsibility for Biscayne from 225th St to 230th St. 275th St from Hwy 3 to Demark will be completed by the end of July. When 275th St is regraveled the county will be providing $12,000.00 of gravel at no charge to the township. (Thank you Mark!) Due to the consistant rain there have been more potholes than normal but we are working to correct this. The county applied gravel and dustproofing to Denmark at no charge to the township. The excessive traffic on 275th from Hwy 3 to Denmark and the excessive rain has caused this road to be in poor condition at times. We are doing the best we can to maintain the road. Dustproofing by the township has not started yet due to rain. There may be delays in the application of dustproofing due to the subcontractors. Mark is working to find alternate contractors for the dustproofing. Please send questions or concerns to the clerks email and she will forward them to Mark and Jerry.

Parks Committee
BJ Elvestad is the Supervisor representative on the Parks Committee. Nothing to update at May Board of Supervisors meeting.
At the July 2024 BOS meeting no new ideas were submitted on what to do with Rocky Hills Park. At the meeting the board voted to continue mowing the park untill an alternate option is found.
At the June 2024 Board meeting there was a discussion on what the future of Rocky Hills Park should be. No final decision was made and we are looking for input from residents as to the best use of the park. You can submit your input by emailing the township, contacting a township representivive, or attending the next board meeting. So far options we are looking at is planting praire grass and flowers or just mowing the field.
North Cannon Valley WMO
Heather Mavencamp is the Township representative on the North Cannon Valley WMO.

Incentive Payment Practices Program (IPP)
The Incentive Payment Practices (IPP) program provides funding for the voluntary establishment of conservation projects.
All projects must demonstrate a water quality improvement and comply with local, state, and federal regulations. SWCD staff will work with applicants on project planning and design, and to submit a final project application. Applications are prioritized for funding based on their potential to provide water quality benefits. The number of applications approved may be limited by the amount of funding and staff time available.
