Board of Supervisor and Planning Commission agenda request must be received 7 days prior to meeting date. Any late request will be addressed at the next monthly meeting.
All Castle Rock Township meetings will be held in-person at the Town Hall.
TOWN NEWS
When is the next meeting? Residents have asked about meeting dates, from the web site you can download the meeting calanders for the entire year. From the website home page if you scroll down there is a calander with a red dot on every day that there is a meeting, this will include any special meetings. Click on the read dot for more information. As we update our website we will make the calander more user friendly.
What is in the supervisors and planning commission members packets they use during the meetings?? One hour before each meeting one packet will be avaliable at the townhall for the public to review. You are free to take pictures of the documents but please do not remove documents – they need to be shared with other residents.
At the July 9th, 2024 BOS meeting it was decided to sell the roadgrader that is owned by the township. The township will accept sealed bids up to September 1, 2024. If you wish to bid on the grader please submit your bid in person or by mail to the town hall. Make sure to mark the envelope “ROADGRADER BID”. The bid winner will be anounced at the following Board meeting. Payment must be made within 15 days after the winner is announced.
A position will be opening this fall on the planning commission. If you are interested in serving our community please send your interest in writing to the township hall. You can drop you letter in person or you can mail it to the town hall. Either way please mark on the outside of the envelope “PLANNING COMMISSION.”

On July 1st, 2024 the Planning Commission and Town Board had a joint meeting to review the updates of the Township ordinances. Once a draft copy is ready it will be avaliable for download on the website for residents to review. A public meeting will be held this fall for public input before final approval. Please review the ordinances and attend the meeting if you have any concerns.
On approximatly June 20th semi trucks hauling gravel for the railroad project traveled down Danville and 275th Street causing major damage to the roads. Mark contacted the county and they regraded 275th at no charge to the township. Mark regraded Danville. The sheriff has been made aware of the situation and will try and monitor the truck traffic.
